Sometimes we might be so overwhelmed by everything that is happening around us that we do not even know where to start or how to seek help.
When we freeze and do not know what to do… OBSERVE….
Take a few minutes now and then, at least 3 times a day during your work day… and OBSERVE what is going on within you….
Do you feel angry?
Do you feel sad?
Do you feel you do not belong where you are anymore?
Do you feel hopeless?
Do you feel numb?
Do you feel guilty?
Do you feel let down?
Remember it is OK to feel this way. There is no right or wrong way to feel about any situation. The point is acknowledging and accepting your feelings.
Processing emotions are sometimes done by just observing them pass by without judgement or holding on to them.
The more you observe…the more you can process.
Set a timer to eat and drink. Take a break even if you are very busy and walk around.
Sit and chat with people around you and your family who means to you…
Not everyone goes through emotions the same way… not everyone’s situation is the same… some may have financial stresses, some may have health problems, some may just feel unsupported. Some may get through fine through a stressful situation; some may be haunted for months at a stretch… but it is OK … whatever you go through is very personal to you …
Today and this week just take a few moments to observe and let those emotions pass over like a cloud and do not attach to them or judge them ….
